Studio Designing Custom & Luxury
Hand Knotted Carpets
RUG WITH A SOUL
LEDT is a French collectible design brand making luxury carpets for architect agencies and private clients.
Expressing personal narratives between Indian ancestral crafts and a contemporary artistic form.
The brand was founded in 2020 by textile designer Thomas Coccimiglio, passionate about art history, interior design, colors & hand made crafts.
The focus is on designing « couture » limited rugs to a client’s specific requirements and measurements.
In the original collections, Thomas draws sentimental inspirations in past eras, referencing with elegance and humor The French Way Of Life.
The label has been recognized with numerous awards and press releases including Monocle Magazine « Best Craftsmanship Design » and recently featured in AD magazine’s design Prime Guide of 2024.
Our showroom is based in Burgundy and the collections are showcased in Los Angeles, New York, Paris & Berlin.

Collectible Design
Unique pieces only, no mass production, each order is processed separately according to the dimensions of the project, the colors and the materials required. Everything is custom made. The making of a hand-knotted work can take up to 15 weeks. Throughout the process, a real dialogue takes place between the craftsmen and the studio which adjusts the dyes, the designs, the thicknesses and the finishing of the rugs.
Materials that get better with time
The designs are timeless and the noble materials used acquire a patina over time, the colors change and evolve with daily exposure to the sun and over the passing seasons.
Fair-Care
In our ateliers in Népal and India, Les Éditions De Tapis ensures an environmentally friendly production by using mainly natural and biodegradable materials with water based solvents. All pieces are labeled « Non child labour » with a commitment to offer fair wages and optimal working conditions and a good lifestyle to the craftsmen and their family.
